New scoring system for transparency in ground transportation

We are in the process of finalizing our new scoring system for ground transportation companies. The scores are up and we are definitely seeing a trend - people are more likely to click on companies with the highest transparency score. Shock!

This scoring system implies the level of transparency and or openness in communicating and disclosing industry specific information to each company's prospective customers via their website. Scores from 0 to 100. The higher the Score, the more transparent. Industry Specific Information includes: Business Address, Airport Transfer Rates, Meter / Hourly Charter Rates, Secure Reservation Form, Permit Info, Fleet Pictures, Cancellation Policy and User Generated Reviews on this website.

The difficulty in providing a scoring system like this is that each state has different laws in regards to ground transportation and vehicles for hire. Fortunately, we provide comparative data for each state, so that everyone is on a level playing field.

Obviously this has concerned many ground transportation companies. Surprisingly enough, many have applauded TransportationReviews.com for our effort to help clean-up the ground transportation industry, especially online. In fact, we have noticed many companies making the necessary changes to improve their scores. Other companies are contacting us to figure out what they need to do to improve.
