OK - Jim and I spoke on the phone over a month ago when we did this interview. I've delayed posting it for two reasons, I) I have been busier than a one armed paperhanger on other projects and 2) I am embarrassed at the audio quality on my part of the recording. Apparently a few minutes into the interview, my phone stopped working correctly and it sounded like I was about 100 miles away.

I worked and reworked the audio and this is the best I can produce with the recording without snipping out my voice and impacting the integrity of the interaction. I thought about clipping out ALL my parts, re-recording them and putting them back in using my editing software, but felt that might be seen as
disingenuous. So here it is, warts and all.

Jim and I have not met - I was hoping to connect with him at LCT East but I understood him to not be in the building. I know of Jim and read everything I can find on and by him because he seems to be just as agressive in exploring technology and marketing as I am.
In this podcast Jim and I talk first about what I think is one of the most important issues of any endeavor and that is the safety of the driver team and the passenger. We then talk about how a company can be more than a group of disconnected individuals, it can be a team and part of an owners duty is to find ways to connect the individuals in the company and make them a team; it matters to the quality of the service the organization can deliver.
Jim is also an advocate of automation in a company and has seen a lot of tech come & go in this industry. He expands on his ideas on how an automated system will impact a limo company, large or small . We wrap this episode by looking at the advent of low cost GPS and why it's becoming a defacto requirement of many operators.
