I'd like to share a Christian miracle in this blog post.
This is about a Miraculous God Jesus sound "Ah" which we heard it in our Tamil song.
http://www.freewebs.com/jesussound/godjesussound.htm
You can hear the sound "Ah" around 0:17minute from the mp3 file in the above website.
To understand more, please visit the link "Translation" in the website.
For further assistance and if the sound link not downloadable, please mail…

Social Media for the limo industry is a tough cookie to crack. However, in the words of Gary Vanerchuck "people are what makes us social." For years and years companies have been blasting potential customers with a variety of messages that recieve no feedback, except for the occassional angry email "stop sending me this crap." We need to be more open to what our customers are saying to us and understand that customers do not want to recieve stuff that does not pertain to them.
Understanding the…

We've all been experiencing tough times financially these days. So, in trying to maximize what is left of the season here in Florida, we are taking it one day at a time. Getting the cars on the road one at a time, building up affiliate work, doing some comp jobs for publicity and to get noticed, and playing up the vintage 1950 something white (original) Stretched de Soto... and waiting for the phone to ring while doing a little cleaning in the office and filing and all that boring stuff.
Last w…

We are in the process of finalizing our
new scoring system for ground transportation companies. The scores are up and we are definitely seeing a trend - people are more likely to click on companies with the highest transparency score. Shock!
This scoring system implies the level of transparency and or openness in communicating and disclosing industry specific information to each company's prospective customers via their website. Scores from 0 to 100. The higher the Score, the more transp…

I enjoyed your Jim Luff interviews, Steve. He writes well for our magazine and speaks clearly and in depth. We need him - we're editors but don't know what it's like to live in this business.
I'm sorry your audio link was disrupted, but I could hear what you were saying. Good job!

We're starting to discuss rating systems for limousine companies over at the
LDC forums and I wanted to take a minute and summarize here why I started the tread there.
To begin with I think the advent of this…

If Jim Luff is not an industry legend, he certainly makes his presence felt in a hundred different ways both online and off. He's everywhere and he's very well spoken on the industry.
I was really happy to be able to spend some time with Jim on the phone in our interview, but we tal…

I have been speaking with a number of folks in the industry the last week or so and listening to the general concerns of the operators, mostly on the East Coast. I can't imagine it is limited there however, I was a little surprised as a guy who previously thought he was a little removed from the problems.
You see, I live in Arizona. When the housing market tanked, we went first. It is common over the up and down cycles I have seen for this to happen and it generally means Arizona comes out of i…

OK - Jim and I spoke on the phone over a month ago when we did this interview. I've delayed posting it for two reasons, I) I have been busier than a one armed paperhanger on other projects and 2) I am embarrassed at the audio quality on my part of the recording. Apparently a few minu…

Before this show I am not sure I had even heard of Uncasville Connecticut. On a map it looks like it was out in the middle of no where...
WOW - was I surprised.
The Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino is a world-class facility in Uncasville. I've been taking pictures and sending them direct from my Moto Q here and if you check them out, you'll see how really nice the place is.
Yesterday was day one and we handed out cards like this one to people. The response was pretty positive overall and if I…

Will you stop by and say hi!

Before we go any further, you need to understand this is not about appraising the economic value of your fleet, but rather about expressing to a customer two important value propositions. The first, what is the value of using a limousine service, the second, what is the value of using YOUR limousine service.
If you haven't yet discovered this, my world is sales as a profession first and the limousine industry in a near second. I have met literally thousands of small business owners, who didn't…

Business travelers, brides & bachelorettes, partygoers and others needing specialty transportation are finding exactly what they want, when they want it at a new referral website, www.ReserveLimo.com. “I quit calling our executives and making excuses why I couldn’t get them what they wanted,” said corporate travel planner Brenda Ferris. “Even when they call me at the last minute, I can reserve what they want and not settle for less.”

A
post went up yesterday at the Limolicious Blog from LCT on our little community here and I just wanted to say thanks! I also got my account updated at Seesmic, a handy little micro-video blogging service that supports an interaction like Twitter, but uses video instead of 140 character posts.
But to the thanks to the team at LCT. They are an informative publication and one that…

Randy Pausch, a college professor at Carnegie Mellon University recently died of Cancer. Ya, I know. Not a an uplifting way to begin a blog post. But if you aren't yet familiar, before he died, he addressed his class with what he called "The Last Lecture." It is all over the internet and all over YouTube but for me it is well worth watching a few times a year. If you haven't seen it, I am happy for you to watch it here. If you have, feel free to bookmark the location and watch it when you think…

It wasn't that long ago that an argument raged relentlessly about the differences in sales between products and services. The notion was that it was far easier to sell a product because it was tangible or touchable. The argument has long since simmered away but leaves behind some careful thinking on understanding how to sell either a service or a product at a fundamental level. We can certainly apply this to the limousine industry.
This is the bottom line. All of sales are a return on investmen…

I did this search around 11:30 last night.
I suspect Twitter was invented by the Third Reich, but nonetheless it might be an easy way to pick up a few extra runs. If you set up an RSS feed based off the keywords in your market and feed it into a Blackberry, this could work.
