Dave M sent me a question using email about why I use one blogging platform versus another.
Here is what he asked -
"Hey Steve,
I noticed you're using Typepad for your new blog. Did you consider Wordpress? In my opinion, it's a better platform for social media. It has these adavantages:
- Rapidly growing user community
- large developer base
- Huge selection of widgets (add-ons)
- More themes- commercial & free
- scalability into full CMS
- Better out of the Box SEO
- Better SEO widgets
- More community oriented add-ons
Typepad is a great product, but Wordpress plays a little bit better with others.

To answer Dave, I did. I also appreciate the relative benefits of a WordPress install, but for the ease of use, cost and reduced technical burden, I still like TypePad.
I have had & do have other blogs on WordPress. I also have a degree in programming, so I think I could master WordPress well enough, but I like to apply technology better than configuring & managing it.
Thanks for the tips on Joomla training too...
